About Me

About Me

Hi,

My name is Paul Sheridan and I can be of service to you as your HSE Offshore Medic.

But who am I?

I am a former Dive Medic of the Royal Dutch Navy. For 18 years I served on board of Mine Counter Measure vessels, submarines, hydrographer vessels and even been on training missions with the Royal Dutch Marines. On board I was not only responsible for the medical care of the crew, but also for the safety and environment of crew and vessel.

However due to a change of law all Medics in service had to follow a basic civil nurse education. So after sailing as an independent self-supporting Dive Medic for so many years, I had to go back to school. I passed my theoretical exams easily, but became ill during my practical training and I wasn't allowed to fulfil my education. The consequence was no more sailing for me. I decided to leave service, as I was not allowed to do what I loved most. Sail as a medic.

I started a career in logistics on shore. After working in different companies for 7 years, I really, really wanted to go back to sea. I made up my mind and decided to invest in myself by following trainings and courses needed for my so desperately wanted career back at sea.

So here I am, back at sea, working a job, I never dreamt of being possible again.

My experience in the Navy have formed me into a decisively and hard working professional. I am easy going and a very cooperative person, who likes to work in a team to achieve goals with high consciousness on health, safety and environment.

A nine to five mentality is not my style. I work until my job is done for the day and I am available whenever needed day and night.

I hope that I've convinced you of my enthusiasm for joining your team.
